My new painting, started it last week

Sleep Depot

Just finished setting up my first solo exhibition in Johannesburg at David Krut Projects, 142 Jan Smuts avenue Parkwood. The show is titled Sleep Depot.
The title of this show draws on the idea that the founding elements of this exhibiton are picked randomly from older themes and works and reconstituted into a cohesive narrative through a kind of dream logic. Thus the sleep relates to the dreaming part and depot to the store of narratives and figures that i have developed over time.

I haven't updated this blog in ages but i have been busy finishing up my masters and having my first solo exhibition. You can check out the exhibition by going to www.whatiftheworld.com. The pictures i have posted here are some of the pieces from my show. I am currently working on new work and i hope to put some of it up here soon.
